90th Anniversay of the 19th Amendment – Significance Marked by Google

Today is the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment of the Constitution ratified Being and the day has Not Been marked with a Google Doodle, but their proposal with a special message on the Google home page. It's an important reminder of a Significant day in history vain Shem does it a little odd That Google chose the one-line message Rather than a unique Google Doodle.

The exact message reads "Celebrating 90 years since the ratification" of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing women the right to vote. "An article over on MTV by Kyle Anderson Makes the interesting point That while the U.S. was Founded have liberty, Democracy and Equality, it's Rather hard to Believe, Now That women did not have a vote Not for the first 144 years, investigation of its Existence.

There was an awfully long fight before Received women this right, starting in the post-Civil War era "when the amendment was endorsed by President Woodrow Wilson and was narrowly Passed in the House of Representatives in 1918. However the amendment was defeated in the Senate by just a few votes. Many politicians though, lost out in the fight back by the National Women's party and "when the amendment arose again in 1919 it was Easily Passed by Both houses.

It was only "when the amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920, women finally That Received the vote. For more must this go to mtv.com. It Seems as though the nation has come a long way in 90 years and as mentioned it Hardly Seems Possible That it was only 90 years ago That women had no right to vote. We'd like to hear what your thoughts are is this so please do send in your comments.
