Former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon won the Republican Senate primary in Connecticut on Tuesday, fueling a barrage of interest in her candidacy on Wednesday morning. (The Fix, of course, has Been watching McMahon for months.)

With McMahon now formally installed as the nominee against Republican state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal (D) this fall expect a Whole New Level of Attention to Be Paid To her campaign - and to the controversial track record of professional wrestling.

In an appearance is MSNBC's Daily rundown today, McMahon acknowledged That some WWE storylines in the past have "pushed the envelope" and Bee "over the top." And anyone watched the Ken programming around the turn of the century knows what kind of stuff we're talking about. (Or so our renowned Hulkamaniac Fix boss tells us - know me would perhaps not, of course).

If You Believe Democrats, that's a recipe for disaster for McMahon's campaign and the GOP's Hopes Thurs steal the seat. That storylines featured strong sexual content and Suggested necrophilia and featured a Down Syndrome Wrestler getting beat up are grieving to Be featured in much more advertising please McMahon's GOP primary opponents were Able to Run.

Is at the same time, McMahon's $ 22 million in self-funding was random you directly from the murky place - the business she and her Husband built into a huge success, making Them extremely rich in the process. It Played Role in a big putting her on the map and getting the attention of of GOP leaders in the first place and represents the sort of business Credentials she is touting on the campaign trail.

So, is it wakes up. McMahon's past is a good, bad or neutral thing for her chances this fall?
