Fox Two-Hour Season-Ending 'So You Think You Can Dance' Wins Thursday

Last night FOX aired the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 7 finale and won the night Among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54 and Teens. FOX outperformed ITS Nearest competitor for the night (CBS) by 20% Among Adults 18-49, 71% Among Adults 18-34 and +33% Among Teens.

The SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE finale posted a 2.4 / 8, up 33% from last Thursday's telecast Among Adults 18-49 and up 29% in Total Viewers (7.2 vs. 5.6 Mil.) Compared to last season's finale (2.6 / 8, 12/16/09) last night's DANCE was down -8% when Planet decrease again this is likely due to the 9% drop in television usage last night versus the night of 12/16/09.

Overall, this summer's cycle of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE outperformed the show's Fall '09 average by 8% in Total Viewers.

Competition
Following a repeat of Wipeout (1.8 / 6), ABC's Rookie Blue (1.7 / 5) was down 6% from last week while the season finale of Boston Med (1.2 / 4) was flat.

It is CBS, Big Brother (2.6 / 9) was high, likely due Thurs Significant NFL pre-season pre-emptions in major markets last night. Repeats of CSI (1.6 / 5) and The Mentalist (1.7 / 5) Followed at 9p and 10p.

NBC ran repeats of Community (1.1 / 4), 30 Rock (1.1 / 4), The Office (1.4 / 4), Parks & Recreation (1.3 / 4), and Law & Order: SVU (1.2 / 4).
