WATD-FM has earned two National Edward R. Murrow awards from the Digital Radio Television News Association, Including the National award for Overall Excellence in the small market radio division. This marks the fourth time WATD That has Received the National Overall Excellence award from the RTDNA. WATD Received the National Overall Excellence award in 1999, again in 2002 and in 2006. This year's National Recognition of Best Audio Newscast marks the first time That WATD has won the National award and the first National Award for Best Audio Newscast award of James' career.
