
The 2010 Neptune Festival features "Boardwalk Weekend" Which runs from 2nd Street to 36th Street on the Virginia Beach oceanfront. It Will Be Taking place from 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM on Friday 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM on Saturday, and 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Sunday.
The highlight of the event is the North American Sandsculpting Competition, Which people from all over the country come to see. There Will Also be concerts scattered through the 32 blocks on the boardwalk, as well as an Extremely Large art and craft show.
If you like to play volleyball, Than You May Enter That the volleyball tournament takes place on the beach. The festival Will Also include a fireworks extravaganza, on Sept. 25 at 9:00 PM.
There is sure to be something for everyone.
The Neptune Festival was created by Virginia Beach Chamber of Commerce President Richard Kline back in 1973, in order to celebrate a very unique heritage Virginia Beach. It is now ranked as one of the top 100 festivals on the East Coast of the United States.
