Eddie Fisher, Ex to Connie Stevens, Liz Taylor, Dead at 92




Pop singer Eddie Fisher died Tuesday as a result of Complications from a recent hip surgery. He was 82.

Fisher had many hit songs consistently the 1950s, include "Thinking of You," and "Oh! My Pa-Pa. "He Also had a TV variety show called Coke Time with Eddie Fisher Eddie Fisher & The Show.

Perhaps the singer is best Known for being part of one of the first controversial Hollywood love triangles. His first wife was actress Debbie Reynolds. In 1958 a close friend Mike Todd died in a plane crash. Todd's wife Elizabeth Taylor was a good friend to the married couple and Fisher and Taylor started an affair after he tried to console her.

Shortly after Fisher asked Reynolds for a divorce. Reynolds said in an interview That she found out about the affair when she called to talk to Taylor and Fisher Answered the phone.

10 months after Taylor left him, and he later married actress Connie Stevens. At 47 he married 21-year-old beauty queen Terry Richard, but it only lasted 10 months Also. His final marriage was to a Chinese businesswoman named Betty Lin, who died in 2001.

Fisher had two children, actress Carrie and Todd, with Reynolds and two more, actresses Joely and Tricia Leigh, with Stevens.
