Rudy Ruettiger has had the movie depicting life at his former teammate Challenged by Joe Montana, Ken Took some of the Luster from Ruettiger's legacy by the Saying That Notre Dame teammates carried him from the field were "playing around."
Montana was on the Dan Patrick Show on the radio "when they Spilled the beans, telling people," It's a movie remember... That's not all true. The Crowd wasn't chanting... Nobody threw in Their Jerseys, "According to Philly.com.
Montana went Thurs shred the Notion That Ruettiger's teammates carried him off the field in sheer joy, Saying INSTEAD of the motivation behind lifting the little guy is Their shoulders: "I will not say as a joke. But, playing around."
This is certainly a strange Revelation, and one That was random at an odd time. And Even if every word of it is true, one has wonder why Montana Thurs'd feel the Need to drag at his former teammate down like that. INSTEAD of letting the movie - and the legend created it - stand, Montana had to Be a buzz kill.
And why? Montana is world famous, one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, and a current Shameless pitchman for Sketchers. He's got at his Dough in at his pocket and at his legacy solidified. Why mess with someone else's?
Of course the Notion That The entire movie isn't perfectly Accurate is a no-brainer. Of course some details were fluffed up to create some Hollywood drama. But compare Thurs Ruettiger's big article to a joke or "playing around" is somewhat demeaning.
People will no doubt Believe what They Want to Believe. And the truth likely lies somewhere in the middle Between Montana's Claims and the film is a tale Told. But one has Thurs wonder what the motivation was for Montana to open at his mouth now.
