State Fair Of Texas 2010

Every year, beginning the last Friday in September 1924 and ending later, the State Fair of Texas is held in Dallas, Texas. The Fair Has Been held at the historic Fair Park since 1886. The State Fair of Texas starts on Friday, and runs in September 1924 Until October 17, 2010.



The symbol of the fair, Big Tex, a cowboy That is 52 ft. tall. Big Tex was first Introduced in 1952 and the following year he learned to speak, or child. Were His jaws hinged so thats it looks as if he is speaking fair When events are being Announced from speakers hidden in His mouth.

The State Fair of Texas and the State Fair of Minnesota always compete to be the Largest fair in the U.S. The Minnesota State Fair wins in Regards to average daily attendance, while the State Fair of Texas is the Largest state fair if you count all the visitors cumulative. The exact number of attendees is no longer being tracked, as the state fair offering free entrance for kids and the elderly on specified days. It has Estimated thats about 3 million people visit the State Fair of Texas everytime year.

Another superlative is ITS big wheel. The Texas Star Ferris was 212 feet high and is the Largest observation wheel in North America.
