Marine Corps Marathon: Marine Corps Marathon Gets Security Boost

Tens of Thousands of runners are running in The 35th annual Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday in Arlington, Virginia.

Participants will run from Thurs Arlington Washington, DC, and back to Arlington again Thurs cross the finish line at the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial. Thirty thousand runners from across the country and around the world are Estimated To Be Taking part in the 26.1 mile race. The winners are EE Thurs cross the finish line in about Three hours. The Race Began at 8:15 a.m.

Security at the marathon was Given a major boost after gunshots were fired at military buildings over the past few weeks.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps building in Virginia was shot at twice. Shots have Also Been fired at the Pentagon and a Marine Corps Recruiting Station in Virginia. There were no Injuries Reported In Any Of The Incidents.
