Karen Sypher sentenced to 7 years for extorting Rick Pitino

LOUISVILLE - Calling her crime "Brazen," a federal judge Karen Cunagin Sypher Sentenced Friday to Seven years and Three Months in Prison for Trying Thurs extort cash, cars and Other Payments from the University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino.

U.S. District Judge Charles R. Simpson III Also ordered Sypher, 50, To Serve two years of supervised release. They Told Sypher To Have no contact with his family or Pitino DURING her release.
Simpson called the Sypher's crime a "Serious offense."
"It was Brazen," the judge said. "It was apparently driven by sheer greed."
Government prosecutors have asked Sypher That To Be Taken into custody Immediately, arguing That she is a danger Thurs witnesses Because she has made allegations of child abuse against her ex-husband, Tim Sypher, WHO works with Pitino.
