Today, NASCAR kicked off the ITS season at the Daytona 500, Annually Which is one of the largest sporting events in America. And an unsuspected racer won - 20-year-old Trevor Bayne.
Not only did Trevor Bayne win the race today, But They Also Made History by Becoming the youngest person Thurs ever win the Daytona 500 Bayne, WHO races for Wood Brothers, battled with "some of NASCAR's Biggest names and DURING the final laps Took them over to win the race.
Prior Thurs Bayne's win today, Jeff Gordon was Previously the youngest Daytona 500 winner.
There was a lot of excitement Throughout the day, and lots of yellow flags. Actually there was a new record for the number of crashes for the Daytona 500 today. Even Dale Earnhardt Jr., one of NASCAR's most popular racers, was out of the race DURING one of the last laps Due to an accident.
