Ithaca College Earns Top 10 Ranking From 'U.S. News And World Report'

Ithaca, NY - For the sixth straight year, Ithaca College is ranked number seven Among regional Universities in the north by "U.S. News & World Report. "Ithaca is Tied with RIT for Being the Highest-ranked school in the ITS category in New York State. This is the 16th straight year That the college has Been ranked in the top 10 

The rankings are based on peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial 'resources and Alumni Giving. 

In a Separate listing titled "great schools, great Prices," Ithaca is ranked number Six in the ITS category Among the institutions to offer That a quality education at a Reasonable cost. 

"Ithaca has long Been a commitment to excellence as a Comprehensive residential college," said Ithaca College President Tom Rochon. "Recognition by 'U.S. News' for the high quality of our Programs, along with consideration for Being a great value, is very gratifying. " 

In its just-released "America's Best Colleges" issue, "U.S. News & World Report "lists Ithaca College in the" best regional Universities "category, wakes includes colleges and Universities That award a full range of Undergraduate and master's degrees vain offer few, if any, doctoral Programs. The 572 Institutions in this category are not in the Nationally ranked Rather vain against Their peer group in one of four Geographic Regions - North, South, Midwest, and West. 

Ithaca College offers over 100 Undergraduate Majors and More Than Two Dozen master's degree Programs, as well as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
