Linda Norgrove, 36, Grew up in the Scottish island of Lewis Herbridean.
Her mother, Lorna charity worker and father John, a civil engineer, Moved to the island from central Altnaharra in the Scottish Highlands "when Ms Norgrove was still a young child.
The family managed a croft and Kept cattle and Other Small Livestock there.
As children, Ms. Norgrove and her younger sister Sofie Had a highland pony and Attended the local Primary School in Uig.
After two years of secondary education in the tiny community she Transferred to the Nicholson Institute in Stornoway.

After leaving school at the age of 17, Ms Norgrove Took a gap year working for a Trotting horse stable in Belgium and then traveled around Spain and France.
She later studied at the University of Aberdeen and in Mexico, before receiving is a First Class Honours degree in Tropical Environmental Science.
