Columbus Day Parade NYC 2010 is Celebrated Today

Columbus Day Parade 2010 is being celebrated in NYC today from 11:30 am to 3 pm. It will be running down Fifth Avenue from 47th Street Thurs 79th Street. There's plenty of entertainment for the Whole Family and if you're a music lover, you'll have a great time listening to sounds of all kinds of musical talent.

According to thenewsoftoday.com, "It Includes Approximately 35.000 people, as well as over 100 bands, and will be aired live on NBC affiliates starting at Noon."

Why do we celebrate Columbus Day? According to dcmilitary.com, "Columbus Day, on the second Monday in October, is meant Thurs commemorate October 12, 1492, the day" when the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus sailed from Spain and "discovered" the Americas. "

Some Americans Dispute the Fact That Actually Columbus "discovered" America Already since Natives were living here "when they sailed across the ocean to get here. It's a controversial matter, But the more important thing is to Celebrate the Discovery of America (No Matter WHO Actually "discovered" it).
