Adalius Thomas Does Not Own a Flying Car

Patriots Linebacker Adalius Thomas spoke Wednesday about Bill Belichick sending him home for tardiness due to the snowstorm that hit Massachusetts on Wednesday morning. According to ESPN in Boston, Thomas said:
"I think everyone woke up to the snow yesterday. I did not know it was going to snow. There was traffic. I can not run people over getting to work. I do not do that. I actually almost had a car accident. It is what it is. They did what they thought was best for him. That's what he did. "
"What do you do?" It's not the Jetsons, I can not just jump up and fly. What the heck am I supposed to do? "
There's a lot of love here. First, the unequivocal declaration that Adalius Thomas does not run people over. We can all breathe a sigh of relief for that.
Second, jumping to the conclusion that it would have required a flying car for him to make it to work on-time. Does he think his dozens of teammates who were at the stadium is a time-own such means of transportation?
Come on, Adalius, it's called an alarm clock.
And finally, it's nice to see Thomas breathe some life into "It is what it is" © - I do not think that expression has ever been used in connection with flying cars and running people over.
