Senate Passes Health Care; Harry Reid Votes No, For A Second

The Senate, with its Rancor and VITRIOL and divisiveness and partisanship and deal-making behind it, passed its version of health care this morning. The vote was 60-39. Every member of the Democratic caucus - 58 Ds and 2 independents - voted for the measure. Every Republican who Showed Up - 39 of 40, minus Kentucky's Jim Bunning - voted against it.

The one bit of distribution, or incredulity, as reported by NPR's David Welna: When the clerk called the name of Harry Reid for his vote, the Majority Leader inexplicably said "No" - which led Thurs Laughter on the Senate floor. It was obviously a mistake, and he quickly corrected himself. Later, speaking at the Ohio clock to Reporters, Reid made light of his brief gaffe:
