Winter Solstice 2009: Shortest Day Of The Year

Today marks the first official day of Winter. And it seems quite appropriate due to the massive amounts of snow that the East Coast was slammed with this weekend. The Winter Solstice comes every year around December 21st and it is The Shortest Day of the year due to the Earths tilt.

But there's good news! Since today is The Shortest Day of the year, beginning tomorrow the days will slowly start to get a little longer. And even better, Christmas is just a few days away! So enjoy the day and embrace the true holiday spirit.
