Panasonic, Skype, DirecTV Partner for Video Calls, High-Def 3D


LAS VEGAS-Panasonic held a press conference at the CES 2010 show here on Thursday Thurs announce a plethora of products that will allow consumers to watch and create high-definition 3D video. Also demonstrated was a high-definition video conferencing system designed for HDTVss. Partnerships with Skype and DirecTV were also announced. 
The conference started by demoing the Panasonic KX-VC500 HD Visual Communications Solution is an enormous Panasonic plasma TV - it provided the conference attendees in Las Vegas with a live high-definition feed of Panasonic's chief executive Yoshi Yamada in Osaka, Japan. The broadcast looked and sounded spectacular and never stuttered. Pricing for this video conferencing product was not announced but is set to be available for purchase in the spring. Full Story
