Highly Successful Southern California Football Coach Pete Carroll was close to reaching an agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday evening.
Carroll, 58, has been offered the job as both coach and president at an annual salary of $ 7 million for five years, according to sources close to the negotiations who were not authorized to comment on the situation.
Seahawks compliant, officials did not talk publicly about their interest in Carroll, a contingent from the team, including CEO Tod Leiweke, met with the coach in Los Angeles this week.
