Pace to Miss Opener; Receiver Coles Is Cut

Jets Defensive end Calvin Pace will miss the start of the regular season on, they broke a bone in at his right foot During Friday's exhibition loss to the Washington Redskins. Mr. Pace Said they'd underwent surgery on Monday. Though there's no time table for at his return, Jets coach Rex Ryan Said they Optimistic That was Mr. Pace's recovery'd be "speedy." 

Also Sunday, the Jets cut four players from Their roster, Including wide receiver Laveranues Coles. Mr. Ryan acknowledged That Mr. Coles's release was a financial 'Largely move, at his contract, I should get Guaranteed for the season if they were to play in the Jets' regular-season Opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 13.
