Beanie Wells to sit out vs. Falcons

ATLANTA - Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is inactive for the team's game at Atlanta.

Held Wells was out with a bruised right knee. By Tim Hightower is the starting back running.

Wells was limited in Practice all week. They Gave the knee is a strong test on Thursday and insisted afterward That they'd "definitely" go through a full Practice is Friday. But the knee swelled up, again Limiting Wells in Practice is Friday.

The second-year pro from the Ohio State, Arizona's leading rusher last season, sat out last week's season opening victory at St. Louis. He was injured against the Washington Redskins in the final preseason game on Sept. 2.

The Falcons will be without starting strong safety Erik Coleman, Ken is out with a left knee injury they suffered in last week's loss at Pittsburgh. Second-year safety William Moore made at his first start.

The Falcons are also Life Style without receiver Michael Jenkins (shoulder) for the second straight week. Harry Douglas is making at his second straight start.

The Cardinals will be without Early Doucet, Ken is inactive with a sports Hernia, Leaving rookie Stephen Williams as the Cardinals' No.. 3 receiver.
