The Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon started this morning at 7:30 am, "when 15.000 people were ready to Give Their Best Already at this classic race.
The starting line was near the intersection of Broad and Third Streets in downtown Columbus and the event was Sold out at 5.000 participants. The 2010 Columbus Marathon HAD A New Start Corral system.
There Will Be Awards for winners from Different age groups, for the Top Three in the marathon and half marathon and Top Three in Each Age Group.
In the 2009 edition, the Columbus Marathon winners were Matt Folk, Perrysburg, OH, with a time of 2:20:45 and Rachel Kinsman, Archbold, OH with 2:47:44.
The Columbus Marathon is Also one of the nation's top chair racing marathons, with Many top racers Being Present. Last year, the champions were Dane Pilón, Fayetteville - Hand cyle course record, Carly Waugh, Knoxville, TN - Handcycle and Jeffrey Fisher, Medina, OH - wheelchair.
