According to the FDA Press release, "This recall was Initiated on Montalva's Sales, Inc. was Notified by the FDA and CDC AFFECTED That the product was made with the La Nuestra Mamey Pulp Which was implicated via a strong epidemiologic link to a Recent Outbreak of Typhoid Fever in Several Western States. "
