Two Movies About Different Kinds of Families Hit Theaters This Weekend

Relationships come into focus in this weekend's featured movies. One is about an odd couple Trying to Raise a baby, on the other is about a strong willed woman and her support of one of The Greatest Athletes of All Time.

Both movies feature "some of Hollywood's big names, with Appearances by Diane Lane, Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.

Here's a look at what's new in theaters this weekend.

Life as We Know It

Life as We Know It stars Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel as a man and a woman Go Their Separate Ways after a disastrous first date. HOWEVER, They are forced back Together after being named as the caregivers for Their Mutual friends' daughter "when They are killed in an accident.

Heigl plays Caterer Holly Berenson while Duhamel is sports director Eric Messer. Also features the movie Glory Road's Josh Lucas, Mad Men's Christine Hendricks and Alexis Clagett as baby Sophie. It was directed by Greg Berlanti, the WHO also Life did 2000's The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy.

Life as We Know It is rated PG-13 and runs 1 hour 52 minutes.

Secretariat

Secretariat is the story of Penny Chenery and her support of the Triple Crown winner Secretariat, The Horse That Is Considered the greatest race horse of all time. Must Love Dogs and Unfaithful's Diane Lane stars as Chenery.

Also the movie stars John Malkovich as trainer Lucien Laurin and former Senator Fred Dalton Thompson as horse racing legendary Bull Hancock. Secretariat is directed by Randall Wallace, WHO DID Also 2002's We Were Soldiers and 1998's The Man in the Iron Mask. It is based on Sports Illustrated writer William Nack's book: Secretariat: The Making of a Champion.

Secretariat is rated PG and runs 1 hour 56 minutes.
