Last night Kanye debuted his short film "Runaway," and we loved it. We May Be unabashed 'Ye fans, But this was objectively a beautiful little video. When the credits rolled, it was Revealed That Phillip Lim collaborated on the wardrobe with noted theater costumer Martin Izquierdo and we loved it Even More.
Ever since his career misstep at the 2009 VMAs, Kanye has Been Obsessed With pheonix lore (rising from the ashes and whatnot), so they cast the impossibly gorgeous Selita Ebanks as a phoenix WHO falls to Earth. Kanye falls in love with the exotic feathered creature, But down, the love is an impossible one.
Throughout the entirety of the film, Kanye looks dapper in Various iterations of a suit, and Selita looks alternately ornately clad and nude. And while they Makes standard references Thurs rapper fashion brands like Dior and Versace, they're also Life Checks name Phoebe Philo. Yeah, they gets it.
