KINGSTON, N.Y., Feb. 27 (UPI) - Divers on Sunday Began Recovering a vintage military jet crashed into That the Hudson River in Upstate New York, apparently killing the pilot, police said.
The body of Dr. Michael Faraldi, 38, Germantown, NY, Thurs believed was still in the cockpit of the BAC-167 That Strike Master Went down near Kingston on Saturday afternoon.
The Poughkeepsie (NY), the Journal said the plane was one of 14 Strike Masters in the United States. The twin-engine British warplane was built in 1969.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the jet Took off from Nashville and was flying low over the Kingston Ulster Airport When It Went Down.
The Journal said Faraldi HAD just Purchased the jet was flying it and Thurs What Would Have Been ITS new home base at the airport.
The cause of the crash was under Investigation on Sunday, But New York State Police Officials said it appeared To Be Accidental.
