The Middle Tennessee State University community is Mourning the loss of women's basketball player Tina Stewart, the WHO, was fatally stabbed Wednesday at an off-campus apartment building.
Authorities have Charged Stewart's roommate, 18-year-old Shanterrica Madden, with first-degree murder in the case.
"This is an Unspeakable Tragedy to One of Our Family Members," said MTSU's athletic director Chris Massaro. "Our Biggest concern is with Tina and her family. The team is devastated, But we'll work through this Together ... One Step at a Time."

Clantina Lapae Marie Stewart was born on Oct.. 17, 1989.
2. She was a standout high school player
Stewart averaged 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, two steals and 1.8 assists during Easy Fri game her senior season. Also she was named to the Memphis Commercial Appeal's "Best of Preps"as a junior and senior.
