X-37B, super-secret experimental Air Force space plane, launches into orbit

An experimental space plane Blasted off Saturday from Cape Canaveral under a cloud of mystery, as the Air Force Officials tight-lipped Kept is the purpose of the ITS mission.

The Secrecy has led "some industry analysts speculate Thurs That the X-37B Could Be A Step Toward Launching a space weapon That Could One Day Cripple foreign satellites - or Even drop bombs, According to the Los Angeles Times.





Air Force Officials said the new experimental plane will serve as a test platform for satellite sensors and systems and will build on the first mission. But Officials have disclosed ITS Not true purpose.

"It's a mystery, Because the Air Force is being so closed-mouthed about the program," former Air Force officer and space security expert Brian Weeden Told the Los Angeles Times. "It Leads people to say, 'What Exactly are They Hiding?"

The X-37B Blasted off yesterday with an Atlas 5 rocket. The plane is 29-feet long with a 15 foot wing span.
