Speculations surround the mysterious cloud spiral over F Norway early December 9
A hoax? Some sort of Northern Lights? UFO? Aliens welcoming Obama to the Nobel Peace Prize acceptance ceremony?
All these theories have been tossed around since the mysterious lights appeared in the Norwegian Sky.
Videos have been pouring into YouTube since dawn on Wednesday morning documenting the anomaly.
After initially denying it was a Russian rocket, now the Russian Defense Ministry is taking the credit for the lights.
According to the Christian Science Moniter:
They said it fired a Bulava from a submarine in the White Sea near the Norwegian coast on Wednesday morning. The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile's first two stages worked perfectly, the ministry said, though the third stage engine Proved "unstable."
