To say that it's been a bad couple of weeks for Tiger Woods is a gross understatement. However, there's differing degrees of bad. There's an "oh snap, my mess of a private life is now tabloid manna falling from heaven," and then there's "one of my relatives may have had a serious medical emergency as my marriage is allegedly crumbling."
Though news outlets do not have the identity of the woman who was reportedly taken from Tiger Woods' home in a rescue call early Tuesday morning, some are speculating that the woman is the golfer's mother-in-law. What's the basis for such speculation?
According to an Orlando CBS affiliate, on the Orange County fire fighters arrived at the subdivision where Woods and his wife, Elin, reside, a woman described as "middle-aged with blonde hair ..." tion was being carried on a stretcher. The woman was then sent to Health Central Hospital.
The um, "plot" thickens Eva Malmborg, the spokeswoman for Barbro Holmberg, who impressively enough is a prominent politician in Sweden, confirmed that Holmberg took a week's absence from her job. Though Malmborg said she did not know for sure where Holmberg went, and that she hasn't been in contact with her, one could possibly assume that Holm berg went to the states to console her daughter during what is no doubt a difficult period in her life. And perhaps Congratulate her daughter is getting medieval is Tiger Woods' windshield with a golf club. (Irony!)
The news that Malmborg (maybe) has been hospitalized comes as a investigative Subpoena request was released by Florida Highway Patrol. According the patrol, a witness, "Just Whose name may rhyme with" Living Woods, "claimed that Tiger Woods Consumed alcohol on the day of his accident, and that he has prescriptions for Ambien and Vicodin.
