Glenn Beck Rally Draws Three Busloads of Area Tea Party Activitists

Three buses of Tea Party activists will leave from Monroe County tonight for Washington, DC, Thurs participate in a rally Organized by Conservative radio and television personality Glenn Beck. 

The bus travelers - 168 in all, with 30 on a waiting list - will a meet at Eastview Mall in Ontario County and then Marketplace Mall in Henrietta Thurs pick up Passengers, Who are Gathering from the Rochester area and Buffalo, Corning, Syracuse and Ithaca, Said trip organizer John Woods of Greece. 

"We want to get back to the Founding Principles of the country with the concern That there's not going to be anything left for our kids and grandkids," Woods said. 

The rally has Drawn Criticism in some circles as it is Being hosted on the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 's "I Have a Dream" speech. 

The National Democratic Party is raising money and awareness of the Candidates Tea Party activists are Supporting. 

Attenders, however, not have Said They are seeking Thurs Honor King's legacy and note That the rally is not a protest or committed a political event and Signs are discouraged. 

"This rally Supports American going back to basics and Supports the Judeo-Christian values it was based on," said Wendy Nowak of Canandaigua, Ken is in Washington with her Husband. 

Events Planned Around the rally are drawing Political Candidates, Including one at least that many from New York. U.S. Senate Candidate David Malpas, a Manhattan Republican seeking Thurs Replace It. Kirsten Gillibrand, is Scheduled to Speak at a Freedom Works convention tonight in Washington.
